afterglow
I am experiencing an afterglow after watching Afterglow. That was meant to be lame and i hope it worked *grin*. Afterglow is the name of Sarah Mclachlan's tour, and Australia was lucky enough to have her grace the people with her quirky compositions and willowy voice. I had the privilege of watching her @ Regent tonight!
There is one word to describe Sarah. Beauti-fulsome! Both as a person and singer, and a chiselled face as well. Altho it's, well, impossible to know what someone is really like just by the way they talk, and especially not in 2 hours, Sarah protrays the image of a woman at peace with herself and being an incredibly warm and genuine person. Wah! Perhaps her peace comes from her 10 year marriage to her husband and the birth of her daughter. I thought it was really sweet that she was so affectionate with her husband, talked about him, gave him credit etc during the concert itself *he is her drummist! How cool to be able to tour with your husband of all people huh? *smile* dont have to deal with the long-distance shacks, and going thru experiences together and knowing your other half is right there! bliss*
Butterfly Boucher guested Sarah's show, and I'll be picking up her CD too. V v good guitar skills, although she was a little annoying. She thought it funny that she would keep coaxing us to buy her CD @ the merchandise section! but i dont really care. Just wanna listen to her music *smile*
Sarah, of course, was the star of the night and her music was so good, i didnt want it to stop. She sings like an angel, you may not believe it, but it's true. The show ended beautifully with an encore, her singing Dirty Little Secret --> my favourite song from Afterglow :) Only bummer of the night was my slightly ill-fitting new sarah Mclachlan top *blushes*
