Have finally gotten myself that part-time job. Two lovely cosy cafes huddled in the elusive Degraves St near Flinders Lane, i am no longer a demoralised being and unemployed. my bosses r great, relaxed Italian mafia-like dudes with funny tummies. Haha. Pocketed my first 30 yesterday workin for 2.5 hours - i was ecstatic and overwhelmed when my boss handed me the cash. yes, drama i know, but dont forget ive never earned a buck in my life!
Am loving work. keeping busy, generous n cheeky bosses, jokin arnd with colleagues, putting a smile on customers' face (thereby increasing the tips), it's all good. Occasionally u get the odd strange customer who request the weirdest concoctions (carrot juice with beer?). Funny though, some Fobbish Asians can be so aloof (which is annoying). When youve had a round of Aussie customers who are just a joy to talk to, dealing with them Aloofs is a thorn in the rose. Funniest when Msians stride in and the slang pops up and it feels once again like home, so Shyiok. And half the time they are ppl who know ppl who know u. A tiny tiny world it is.
YESTERDAY'S Fri night @Loop & 2fivefive was good fun, altho the later part of the night could not be spent with my three other sluttys who were concussed with fatigue. Rockin' on with the birthdays, i finally crawled into bed @ 5, only to drag myself out of bed to go to work @ 9am. You can imagine my pounding head. Not to mention the mini nausea i felt from the previous night's drinks. I covered it up pretty well tho. Boss didnt have a clue. ALL GOOD.
Disclaimer: Am having an ALL GOOD slang attack. Please bear with for now.
HAH!

*Happy bday, Mike & Adrian*
