revisiting the old ones

Tonight i revisited the past.

I had forgotten just how much music fed me. Its easy to forget in this hectic and priority-cladden city-fied living.

So tonight, sunk deep in relaxation and oblivion, i revisit the likes of Lisa Loeb, Texas, Joni Mitchell, Butterfly Boucher, Fiona Apple, John Mayer. People i have not touched in ages. 3 hours (and counting) of nothing but coursing through the old tunes. It's too real, how people say, music brings us back through time, to a certain feeling, a certain era. Not unlike how the scent of a whiff of perfume could escalate or warp our thoughts to one single person.

Ah Lisa Loeb, how could i forget.

and tonight, just tonight, letting the nodes and troughs of newies Feist, Muse and Jens Lekman, tease my ears.

Feels like its time to whip out good ol' Chippy, the trustee acoustic guitar.
