Went to the careers fair at Uni today and got thinking about how all of us are headed towards a diverged path very soon, what with most of us graduating by the end of this year. What's to happen next? more fooling around? more studying for the geeky ones? stepping into the working world (for us normal bunnies)?
I think being the youngest in my family has led me to delude myself in a security blanket that i dont have a care in the world (oh bliss!). Im learning the hard way, though, that things dont just fall into my lap with a snap! *oh bugger*. Ive realised that if you really want something, you gotta put in more than enough efforts *some of you should, at this point, be going Hello? did u just fall from the sky?* the grades, the rejections for articled clerkship --> working in australia is no easy wiggie.
Sure hope im banging on the right doors with corp/tax.. Today's openings @ Career Fair @ KPMG, E&Y, PWC etc seem to cater lots for Corp/tax/finance. They say Corp Law is where the dollars are, and yes, i know it's shallow (quit pretending you're not out to make money too!), but $ and success, is what motivates me. 'more money more money' <-- slogan originators, you know who you are, and i just want to tell you, your slogan is starting to rub off on me!! *no good!*
