The week came. The week went. So much happened, and none had to do with CLP.

I grazed shoulders (and waists) with the ever uber hot, ever grinning Bernard Chandran at the Msian International Fashion Week. Chandran's labelled the 'Prince of Fashion' of Malaysia, and who could deny him that title, with that striking Chindian goodlooks? And they had the good sense to plaster his face as ambassador of i-Zen apartments, smack at the junction of zooming vehicles in Sri Hartamas, in the center of the buzz of many a female drivers..

Strictly a non-sucker for photographic tendencies with famous faces, lo and behold, reason completely overtook me when i saw Chandran in the flesh. I could not resist when it came to this work passionate, well-suited joe.

And then there was that long put off trip to Amcorp Mall's flea market. My friend J visits this particular lady with leather bags and J always rocks up to class with the loveliest brown ones from the market. This time the leather bag lady had no leather bags for me. Darn.

Since we were already there, we spent some time peering at other goods, but they were erring slightly on the dangy and old side. Afterall, it was an antique and exotic collectors item flea market. Most were second-hand goods of antique jewellery, rock rings, collectors Coke cans and comics. One thing that stood out to me was the hugee record collections. Impressive. True appreciaters of good jazzy oldie music on the ever reliable vinyl record should take a look. The market runs on Sat and Suns from 10am-6pm.

The market is not a place i would visit again, but it definitely was a refreshing and interesting change from browsing the regular haunts of Mango or Zara. A couple of hours later, we rocked home with a small loot - a Billy Joel CD for RM15 and Wally Lamb's 'i know this much is true', for RM8 . a bargain!

My favourite n constant amuser, returns
On another light note, A's back in KL for good. I dont believe it! After one whole year of not seeing each other, we did catching up over pork ball noodles in OUG, which A had been raving about. Whilst stuffing our faces, amidst reminiscing over the antics in Melbourne and the last time we saw each other (right before bidding farewell at the airport), my tummy started to rumble somewhat. I had little inkling of what was to entail that night - a full blown diarhorrea affair. It sure is good to have him back again... pun intended.

Lesson(s) of the day:

  1. friends which fit like old jumpers are gems themselves and those who adored you even when you looked less decent, well, priceless.
  2. Delicious food always comes at a price. Mummy was right.
